Building a Trusted Name in a Man’s Industry
Joy Bukar
Founder and CEO, AJ Bliss Aluminium
Joy Bukar leads AJ Bliss Aluminium, delivering leak-free, top-quality aluminium and alloy roofing solutions, built on a career that started in 2007 as a secretary on a factory floor, in an industry still overwhelmingly led by men.
Joy Bukar is the Founder and CEO of AJ Bliss Aluminium, where she leads a team delivering leak-free, top-quality roofing sheets and comprehensive roofing solutions, including aluminium, alloy steel and other evolving roofing options, alongside professional installation and roofing consultation services from a branch on Kaduna Road, Abuja.
She started as a secretary in an aluminium factory in 2007, her first real introduction to the world of roofing, and built her way up through production, operations, and branch management before founding AJ Bliss Aluminium. That path, in an industry still overwhelmingly led by men, is the story behind everything she now builds.
Started as a Personal/Confidential Secretary at an aluminium factory, attending to clients, coordinating meetings, and managing company records.
Rose to oversee daily machine operations, plant safety procedures, and resource utilisation as Head, Production Unit.
Oversaw daily operations across Finance, Sales, Production, HR, and Engineering departments as Branch Manager, reporting directly to company leadership and the AGM.
Founder and CEO, AJ Bliss Aluminium.
Women remain rare in aluminium, roofing, and heavy industry leadership across Nigeria. Joy Bukar’s rise, from secretary, to head of production, to branch manager, to founder, is proof that access, not capability, has always been the real barrier.
She is outspoken about empowering women to actualize their own potential, especially in male-dominated spaces, and about building AJ Bliss Aluminium into a name synonymous with integrity, mentorship, and game-changing roofing solutions.

Material grade is verified before a single sheet goes on site.
Installation follows a fixed safety and quality checklist, the same version on every job regardless of size.
Every client gets a plain explanation of what was done and why, because honest construction means the client understands the work, not just receives it.
